March 31, 2025

Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ (GNTC) Human Resources has received a Model Agency Award for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY2025).

The Georgia Department of Administrative Services Human Resources Administration (HRA) conducted an assessment in five module areas and an optional policy review module. Thirteen agencies received a Tier 1, or model compliance, ranking in the State of Georgia’s FY2025 Human Resources Assessment.

“What an achievement!” exclaimed Elizabeth Barksdale, director of Human Resources (HR) at GNTC. “I am beyond ecstatic that GNTC’s Human Resources has received this award. It truly shows the hard work and dedication that each of our HR staff members puts in every day to contribute to our team and the continuance of compliance for the college.”

GNTC has not previously received this award, said Barksdale who was recently elected to the 2025 Executive Committee for the Georgia Council for Human Resources (GCHR) as a member-at-large.

“It means a lot to have us recognized, and we look at it as a challenge for the upcoming years to earn additional Model Agency awards,” Barksdale said.

The Tier 1 category means that “agencies have a robust and exemplary Human Resources program with a solid understanding of and compliance with Human Resources laws, regulations, rules and best practices,” according to the HRA.
